People called trainers bring up Pokemon to fight and become the Pokemon league Champion. There are different Pokemon in different parts of Pokearth, these places are called regions. At the moment there are Five different main regions; Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinohh and Unova. The most recent region discovered is Unova. There are 653 Pokemon right now and the first Pokemon ever is the one below
